justice against unfairness

When one laughs
Another weeps
When one jumps
Another falls
When one wins
Another loses

There is a child
Iman al Ham is her name
She is thirteen but undersized
Since young she’s being despised
She has fewer friends to play before
Coz of the body she’s never prayed for
She’s walking through the day
Looking perhaps for a place to play
She’s wondering and looked
No nurtures,
No playmates
No sisters
No brothers
Lost and stranded
In a savage land full of human beasts
Thirsty for target practice,
They know an enemy when they see one

They see a girl in white clear shirt
Her face covered with terror and fear
Walking defenselessly towards nowhere
Perfect, it’s time
Someone shoots
The girl falling and touched the ground unintended
The beast comes forward, towards the girl with gun loaded
Now he gets her face to face.
Now he can blast the breath out of her.
Watch every bullet tearing her apart.

How can a family mourn
Over a child's body torn
By seventeen bullets, with no justice to hope
How do they cope
Dream shatters without warning
They wonder, the reason for what is happening
There is only one solid reason
It’s because they are Palestinian

This sinful world watching its soul beneath
Crying, dying, fighting for the last breath

It’s written all over the front page
People in Gaza in rage
Yet people doesn’t get the message
Six decades of suffering, fighting with all they might
They will not go down, through the night without a fight

The leaders of the world
Debating on who’s right and who’s wrong
It’s not about who’s right and who’s wrong
But it’s about the weak against the strong
Whose tanks are towards whose door?
Whose warships on whose shore
Children with rock against man with gunfire
10000 shotguns against high tech military defense
Forbidden weapons are used against the civilians
White phosphorus, cluster bomb, uranium bullet in their vein
Villages are destroyed - bombs in pour
Bodies are in bits and pieces tore

The beautiful hometown which was full of excitement,
The place where the faces of joyousness covering up the air,
The place where children growing up with full of exhilaration,
The bird singing bestow the spirit of life to the people,
But now, nothing remains
Day by day had past as the night and the day rise and fall,
Time by time they were immersed with fear and tears,
as the clock ticking, innocent lives are lost

Palestinians,
They want to walk on their land fearlessly
They want to live on their land with no blood shed
They want to take what’s belong to them long before
They want justice
This is a war between justice and unfairness
Yet they will never go down
Without a fight in Gaza tonight

This poem is dedicated to unfortunate people in Palestine. This is not a great art however this poem means a lot to me. This was my first time writing a poem and it took me a week to finish it up. Fortunately, even though it was the first time I write a poem and recite it in front of people, I was chosen to enter a poem recitation competition. This competition has push me beyond my limit because I’m a very shy person and never intend to speak up in front of the crowd. That is not the interesting part is. The interesting part is when I actually won the competition. I will remember this poem for the rest of my life and it makes me realize that I can push myself to do what I have to do.
